St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul

The members of this ministry meet twice a month. The ministry maintains a low profile because the members realize discretion is needed to protect the dignity of the persons seeking help. People are helped, depending on need, with food and clothing. Individuals in a crisis situation have been helped with rent and utility bills to cover their immediate needs and, where ever necessary, referred to consumer credit counseling services. We will help anyone who lives within our parish boundaries. Those in need can call the Parish Office and a member of this ministry will be in contact to schedule an interview. A portion of parish contributions to the Community Action Committee (red border envelopes) is channeled through to this ministry providing the funds necessary to assist the needy. The St. Vincent de Paul ministry coordinates the semi-annual Bundle Sunday collection of the clothing and mincellaneous items and the annual Blanket Sunday Collection.
